Frequently Asked Questions
Answers about LaKaTrades education, programs and accessibility.
Getting Started
Do I need trading experience to start?
No. The education starts from market structure and reading price before it moves, so a complete beginner can follow along while experienced traders still get depth on execution and risk.
Programs
What is the difference between the Bootcamp and a Workshop?
The Bootcamp is a structured program covering the full LaKaTrades framework — structure, setups, planning, execution and review. A Workshop is a focused session on one core skill for traders who want depth on a single topic.
Accessibility
How does LaKaTrades support Deaf traders?
Deaf traders are welcome across LaKaTrades programs, and the Bootcamp and Workshop applications include an optional accommodation request field — tell us what you need there, and we confirm arrangements in writing before your session. The Deaf Trading page explains the visual, written-first approach in detail.
Support
How do media or speaking requests work?

LaKaTrades Trading Rules
Educational only, not financial advice
The rule set taught across LaKaTrades programs. These rules are educational reference material for building your own written plan.
- Premarket High (PMH)
- PMH = Premarket High — the highest price traded between 4:00 AM and 9:29 AM ET. PML is the premarket low over the same window.
- Setup grades
- A++ = 5 or more of the 10 confluence factors. A+ = 4 or more factors including daily/4H trend alignment AND a volume spike. A = 4 factors. B = 3 factors.
- Minimum reward-to-risk
- Minimum R:R is 1:2 at TP1 — setups below 1:2 are skipped, not traded.
- Timing rules
- No trades within 15 minutes of major news. No new entries after 11:00 AM ET — at 11:00 a trade stays open only if no kill signal has fired. All positions are out by 3:55 PM ET.
- Daily stop
- Stop after 2 losses in a day. Risk is defined before entry, and the stop is never widened.
- Kill signals
- A kill signal ends a trade: A 5-minute close past EMA 9 or EMA 21; A structure break; A volume climax with a rejection wick; A 3x ADR move (mirrored for shorts).
- Direction filter
- No shorts when the daily trend is up (price vs the 20-day EMA).
- Volume filters
- Minimum premarket volume of 500K shares. A volume spike means 1.5x the 20-candle average.
- LaKa Retest Rule
- Based on Lauren's own results. Taught as part of the LaKaTrades framework — see the Bootcamp for the full walkthrough.
